"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

This bike is sweet, and by sweet I mean totally awesome.

Anybody who got a kick out of this CL post should visit realultimatepower.net and prepare for hilarity to ensue. Somehow, ninja obsession is inherently funny.

I've been looking at the 40 footers. I wish the prices would come down some, though. Once you add doors and stuff, you're not that far from a pole barn which can be bought with better dimensions.

A shipping container will withstand a zombie apocalypse better than a pole barn.

Haha, good point. I could even put it up on pontoons, so when the great flood comes we can float away all Waterworld like.

Ok, this isn't a café or bobber, and I know it's not the cutting edge of tech, but I really want one of these.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPCrPbvKy5w

Would be a fun dual sport for sure.
Too much power though (I'm assuming it's based on the thruxton?), would be a real handful offroad.

Re: "Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

65hp on a thruxton. Wouldn't say that's too much, especially with the smooth delivery. Weight would be more the issue

Look, being an old guy, I like having 65 h.p. of controllable h.p. vs. peaky two strokes. I'm not going to be making any 20' sky jumps, and I can't stand the Tampons they call dirt bikes these days. I think for a trail bike it'd be a blast. The bikes today are really light and full of cool tech stuff, but I rode desert sleds as a kid and this really brings back memories and having just enough tech to make it dependable and probably as fun to ride on the street as trails.... It's not for everybody, but right up my alley....

looks like they did some serious work on the suspension, some long travel ohlins in the back and longer travel forks up front
no reason why it wouldn't be just as capable off road as any other 500lb adv bike

Don't get me wrong I get the draw and It's probably awesome.
I recently aquired a klr650 and even with it's limited power it can be a handful when you hit the throttle too hard in loose dirt or grass.
