"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

A really clean, seemingly well maintained Trumpet. No idea what these go for, but $7k seems like a lot of loot.

Those things are the worst. "loose spokes" Tons of fork travel with that brace on there, I'm guessing a solid 1/4"
Come on, that's at least 3/8", probably less than 1/4" once you sit on it, obviously not ridden much.

Meh... It's a custom fun bike and likely built as well as most.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is perhaps worse than most. Hit a pebble, your front wheel bites into that brace, and you're over the bars. At least with no back wheel travel it's your back wheel skidding out. Don't think this is for riding.

so likely the forks are static, that brace would be fail just sitting on it.

P.S.... the worst (and only) auto stopie I encountered was running over 6X6 wire mesh laying on the ground riding a YZ426... the knobies grabed that fence and wrapped me up like a catch net    :-[ :-\ :'(

only $10,000

Apparently it was built for Chris Jacobs of Overhaulin' but he also thought it was a piece of crap and told them to shove it.

Some Hipster will buy it because they get the T-shirt with it, that's worth $10k, right?

looks ptretty good but the guy is either mistaken or lying its a 72 with the reed valve, a dt2,
with the reed they run better but may not be as desirable as a 69 certainly not as a first year 1968 square swinger

How could you tell from that pic? And anything in particular I should be looking for tomorrow?
Edit:
Looked at some pictures and the tank graphic and side cover are definitely dt2, not dt1. I'll see what the frame says tomorrow.
