"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

When you need parts, it must be confusing....Their are so many different models and brands on that.....Looks like a lot of thought and work went into it, but the idea of fixing it, or explaining to the State Police why the Vin and engine don't match seems to be a little nerve wracking.

A really sweet looking bike, but still a bit of a Frankenstein. When you create your own Frankenstein, you know what yuo have....someone else's seems a little daunting to me, anyway.

Go. Fuck. Yourself.

Hey man, totally worth it... said no one ever.

You know, it might be worthwhile just to do that every now again, throw up the flag & see if someone with alot of money and little brains bites...if that's the case. I don't know think I have a problem with it.

That has to be a damn joke ad... just unreal.

The post I made a bit up: The bike was defintly someones projects, they saw what they wanted to do and did it. Trouble is, I can't tell what they were trying to do. Like above said, there's quite a mix mach of parts, but at the time, it worked for that build. We all poke and jest about what people build and make on CL, but it's still just some other guy behind the keyboard doing the best he can do to make "something."

But hell yeah there is some screwed up shit people throw together and try to make the big bucks on. Nooo way

I think we would all like to be able to build a bike, sell it and make a few bucks on it but not to get rich and not to rip some naïve person off with an over priced machine. I don't subscribe to the buyer beware philosophy.

This is a one of a kind custom for sure...

You haven't been in the garage today then I take it ;)

I want to rattle can it all black then ride to Cook's Corner on an afternoon and casually park next to all the Harley guys who take themselves too seriously

Jenn needs it so she can actually touch both feet on the ground at the same time.

That's a lawn mower engine on there. Like 5 hp if it is the "good" one.

Also one with black with blue flames, can't find the listing for it right now. Was $700. Both in the same small town.

$7500 CB750 http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/mcy/3926802918.html

From the ad: I built this as a project bike. It's been fun to ride but it was always meant as a project I would eventually sell, not keep. Bottom line, if you're looking for an awesome cafe with some incredibly modern parts that add to the safety and performance of a bike while still having classic designs, then this is the bike for you. It's throaty, it hauls, and most importantly - it stops! This bike will easily "do the ton".

I like that bike, it came out nice. But, maybe 3k not 7k :)
