the point that has been made is that the swingarm was not designed for a mono shock. Additional bracing should be done. You are completely changing where the forces are applied on a swingarm that was meant for dual shocks towards the back. THere are not hundreds of thousands of CX500 swingarms that are converted to mono shocks, and that's probably for a good reason.
wait...soooo youd have to really bend your ankle to touch that brake lever if its that low i dont see how that would be comfortable at all, also, have you ever rubbed your boot while leaning into a turn with your foot on a lever? i used to all the time before i put rearsets on my cb350f

I learned about moving shock points back as a teenager... I had a trail bike and had an excellent idea to relocate the bottom shock mount forward to make a softer ride, lift the rear and increase travel... I thought I was a genius until I landed my first jump!
