My son And I are starting our project soon, and he told me " I hope we never become like Jr and Sr of the OCC"
I think it's a sad relationship for those two.

I did not get to watch the show after all. Ionly have basic cable. soooooo. oh well. I hope this goes on netflix or something some day.

my dad comes in the shop alot! ALOT, and he always has a better way to do something we are working on, and to be honest 85% of the time he is right... but he is still open to learn new things that i can show him... but when we argue... we get laughed at for being Pauly and Sr... but hey that is part of being father and Son, wihtout what i learned from the old man i would never have turned a wrench! that father son build you have planned will be one of the coolest things you two ever do... my dad and i build my 77 Buick regal when i was 15 turning 16, then my Jeep Wrangler when i was 21, but never a bike... he has always helped me to wrench on them or walked me though issues i had over the phone... but this winter or maybe spring he wnats to build a wild softail chopper very low and pro street... i told him that i would cover all the paint and powder work if he wrenches it with me... his response "We will see, maybe i will LET you build it with ME" ha ha ha ha I am 30 now and look forward to this build like i was 16 again!

Awsome Joe, that's encouraging. My son is 11 yrs old. He was so excited when I pulled up with his first bike. (I have to start a thread for it soon, but I'm still healing from my knee surgery) I got him a 71 Honda SL350. my son already has some ideas of what he wants done on his bike. He's talking budget an all. :)

hell ya! i was 12 when i did my first "father son build" we rebuilt a totalled SRV yamaha snowmobile... then when i got my liscense he gave me the keys to it... i totaled it again when i ws 18...

That's awesome, and a great opportunity to reinforce saving and budgeting. My youngest wants to help every time I'm in the garage...but at 4, he's more trouble than anything. Still love having him out there though :)

i thought the show was cool. can't wait to really just start seeing the builds thought it was a trip how dcc hustles the yard for deals on bikes its the way to do it
