Hi!

Playing with Photoshop I've made this images of how will fit a Cafe seat made Loco Leon way: With a cutted tank... and I think that use the same tank that is on the bike will be a good idea.

What do you think about it?

I'm also thinking in whitewalls tires....something to say?

Looks good. I like how it is lined up with the top of the gas tank. Sweet looking bike!

Wow, that seat will look awesome. Do you have a tank to use for it yet? If so, what kind?

Great job on the photoshop too.

Re: "virtual" cafe seat for Spanish Bultaco 125

No Deacon, I haven't any yet :-\, but I think i can found one on the spanish parts shops...full of rusty but this is not a big problem 8)

I think that use the same tank is the best option, so there is a "simetry" of lines that make more uniform the Bultaco style.

what do you think about whitewalls tires? here in spain it's rare to see that kind.

Here does'nt exist custom culture so I like!

Hello friend! I would first like to tell you that I think you have a great bike. I think the seat idea will look great as well. I dont like the white wall tires myself. If you want a more vintage look you might try painting the rims black, or both the rims and spokes black. I think that looks more classic, or period correct. Keep up the good work.

Re: "virtual" cafe seat for Spanish Bultaco 125

I love the look of the seat using the same tank. I think the white walls would look better if it was a thinner line or red could look pretty cool as well. Bike looks excellent by the way.

Re: "virtual" cafe seat for Spanish Bultaco 125

I think the whitewall tires look good, since the bike is silver with the black stripe down the centre, it kind of fits.

Re: "virtual" cafe seat for Spanish Bultaco 125

By now is very hard to find the same tank to make the seat, so I try to find someone from another bike that could be nice too.

I've found that one very cheap and in good state, It's from a Guzzi:

I think it can be good for my idea, what do you think?

Looks good and like it would work. If your good with cutting and welding you can section it to your preference to get the size, shape, angle you want and weld it up it it doesn't suit/fit your seat pan just like it is.

White letter tires maybe?
White walls- leave them on Harley dressers, board trackers and bar hopper choppers, not road racing/cafe style bikes.

Hey Coolatyla!
I never work with metal, but I'm good cutting wood, so i think i can do it!
Now I have to decide wich shape I want!
I' have doubt with this two options:
a smaller an rounder shape this kind:

or a bigger and straigth style like this:

Any suggestion?

For the seat pan I'm thinking about doing one by myself, not like the original, a little bit thinner and fitted to the bottom of the tank-seat (how do you call in english? cowl?)
But I dunno how to make the seat pan, Fiberglass? metal?...

For the tyres I think you have reason and probably I paint the letters but not the walls, also I'm thinking about mounting a new modern tyres, for better grip so the paint it's secondary.

Re: "virtual" cafe seat for Spanish Bultaco 125

Here I'm!
I've bought that tank and to my surprise ,when it has arrived, it wasn't a metal tank....It's fiberglass made!
That means that it will be easier tu cut it!!! ;D ;D
It was also in pretty good condition, so I doesn't have to use anything to remove the paint, just a little sanding and go to imprime it :D

Now I have to solve the problem of the seat-pan...
I have no one I can use and the original it's extremly hard to find and if I do it, it will be very expensive... :-\

Any one knows hot I can make a seat pan?

Thanks from Spain!
