Cafe'd cb750s with this style tank??

so i'm looking for some inspiration for a cb750 but all the cafe bikes i see have a different bike. The only times i really see this style tank is on bikes styled like the wrenchmonkees build. I've seen a couple on here but not a ton so if anyone wants to put up any links or pictures that would be cool.

That's a 79-82 750 (dohc). That tank doesn't really flow well into a cafe style seat.

Also, most cafes tend to be built with the sohc bikes. Not sure if it's an era thing, or the reliability the sohc bikes offer. I think it's a bit of both.

I think the tank can work easily, Just need to remove the tabs from the bottom and experiment with new sidecovers. I plan to keep my tank as is.
