With that said, if you sent him an email he probably wouldn't mind. I wouldn't want DTT getting in crap for it though.

In doing a bit of a search it would appear that photo is credited to the collection of Father Graham Hullet - it appeared in an obituary written in Telegraph.co.uk for Reverand Bill Shergold, who you've plopped our logo on top of in your sig image ;) He founded the 59 club.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/religion-obituaries/5470225/The-Reverend-Bill-Shergold.html

So while a nice photo, a) I'd want to honor Rev Shergold and not have his face smashed by our logo ;) and b) I'm not sure that the owner of the photograph would want it used for what technically would be considered commercial purposes. He clearly gave Telegraph permission, but that doesn't mean we can snag it from their site and use it here.

FalconMotorcycles.com doesn't credit the source of the photo and certainly doesn't own it either.

Just browsing the show n shine threads...this one caught my eye.
From Frostyspeed...
banner2.jpg

probably a little too much black on either end...maybe Frosty has a bigger pic size?

Looks kinda small after posting but it says its the same size as the banner thats up there now ???

Great ideas and submissions! You're quite right, it would be great to be able to "change it up" every month or two! 8)

If you could settle on a format, it would be a piece of cake to develop a 'template' in Fireworks/photoshop that has the static items (the logo and fade to black) on one layer, then just paste a new image below that each time and export. Done in 30 seconds, and would make changing the banner regularly a snap.

When I get my computer 100% to speed, I will make a better banner using my bike (the red one on the bottom). I now have the headlight installed and need to recover the seat with tan ostrich.

ian - who's bikes are the ones in your samples? the 2nd last one looks like Ohio Cafe Racers.

Tim that second last one is owned by Owned ;D. He has a thread here on the site with some cool pics of his bike: http://dotheton.com/index.php?topic=11289.msg99764

yeah. All but the second are shots from this site that I've come across. I just needed some images for mock-up. hope I didn't tread on any toes :-[

Nice! We're into a cycle of using Bikes of the Month for our banners, but we will need aspiring artists to take the winner(s) bike photos and make banners from them. Check out the December BOTM winner and cook up a banner using the two winners (as featured in the current banner).

Happy to switch it up once in a while.

Don't mean to hijack but LOve what you guys are doing. If you would like I have a couple of different photos to chose from. The studio shot needs the background fixed and I'm not sure but the other photo may be a little busy. You guys are the pros so use what you think would work best. Just thought I'd throw it out there.
Here ya go:
This is the latest photo. It is after I put on new tires and lowered the bike.

This is a little older but it does have the new tires on. Bike is riding lower nthan this now (see above photo ;D)
