Cam Chain stuck...

I'm working on my CB160 and I finally got the cylinder head cover off (PB Blaster helped quite a bit), but now I'm running into the problem of the cam chain being stuck so I can't spin it to get to the cam chain joint. I believe the pistons are probably stuck at the moment. I squirted some PB Blaster down the spark plug holes and I'm hoping that perhaps that will help in freeing it up.

My question is, is there anything else I can try as I would prefer to not cut the cam chain if possible. It looks to be in good shape and I would like to save it. What am I missing?

Thanks in advance.

You could use a dremel to cut one of the links and then re-join it with a split link. Although I'd be thinking of getting a new chain - especially if you're talking about re-using a chain from a locked up motor.

If your old chain lets go you'll be doing twice the work again re-building your motor.

Hey Hillsy

Thanks for the input... And you make a good point. I will need to be looking into a dremel I guess... would a hacksaw do the job?

And do you by chance know the best place to look for a cam chain online? I found it for around 40 on ebay, but I'm sure there is a better place to look.

Thanks again
