Cam compatibility on CB/CL year models?

Checked the valves on my 68' CL450 this weekend. The exhaust cam has some major heat scoring and metal deposits from the followers. (long story, I ran it, for a short period, with a very low oil level sometime ago :-[ )

My question is this... Are cams compatible through the different K series? I found a nice pair of cams from a 72' model on ebay, and went ahead and bought them? According to the bikebandit diagrams & numbers, they are the same part number. Couldn't find anything on the Honda Twins forums about compatibility.

Please tell me that they will work. I know I'm going to need at least two new rockers/followers too.

OK, well...

From what I've found out, it doesn't matter what 'K' series the motor is, or what the markings are on the cam. As long as you don't have the very early four-speed model, all the cams are compatible.

Please let me know if you know anything that contradicts this.

If part numbers are the same, you shouldn't have a problem.
