Probably a dumb question, but I cant seem to find any old school bullet connectors, can I just use more modern ones to wire up my new switches?

I can't imagine why not. Just acts as a bridge for the circuit, so it shouldn't matter. Connectors, wire nuts, twisting them together...all does the same thing.

That's what I did. Large connectors for high amp connections and minature ones for low draw.

Here is twelve pages of why you should buy a better crimper and connections:

Bullet connectors are arguably the worst kind of connectors, but they do have a place. Where possible use a modern 2/3/4/6 pin connectors.

"Weatherpack" connectors are nice and available at most any autoparts store...
