Update: Reopened the case, turned the bearings the right way, and JB welded both spots and left it apart overnight to cure.

Maybe tomorrow I will be able to finish the bottom end rebuild.

You sealed the case with Threebond or something when you put it together right?

Just that you didnt mention the horror of cleaning it all off when you split them again

It wasn't bad because it didn't even have time to completely set yet. All it took a a quick scrape with a plastic blade and it was off.

JB Weld is the bomb.

Ive fixed worse with JB Weld. It looks half ass, but it's functional.
