I've got this light I'd like to use, but it's missing parts. I don't know where to start because there are a ton of different light parts available from all over the place. Can anyone identify this light for me?
Maybe a Harley light. Most Harley headlights have a bottom mount like that. Maybe if you go to a harley dealer, the parts guy might be able to help you.
Doesn't harley have the bar shield stamp on their bucket? It could just be a cheap "chopper" or "bobber" headlight bucket that is a universal fit. A lot of those are bottom mounted.
Looks like a bates or bates style knock off like this:
if it's not urgent, i have the parts you need for that headlight. Yours for shipping. But im at school at the moment, so you'd have to wait till i go home for a weekend
My only problem with buying harley stuff is that they never mention sizes, only models... How am I supposed to know if a dyna headlight is what I have since I don't own a dyna nor know anyone with one?
I also believe that with the few parts I have been able to find scattered across the internet, it seems to be a not-so-common size. The overall diameter of the lamp housing is 6 3/4" Would that equate to a triumph headlight size?
Thanks for any help. I can provide more measurements for anyone that is in the know.
