Canadian Tire's blowing out grinders and impact drivers.

Been Around the Block
I was heading through the Crappy Tire at Lawrence Plaza today. Decided to pick up their deal flyer and happened across an ad for a $80 mastercraft electric angle grinder marked down to $20! Next to it was an impact driver down to $30!

Normally, if I had my druthers I'd spend the extra cash for something better than mastercraft, but at that price how can you go wrong? With a winter full of projects including a '79 gs400 I need to totally rebuild, I figured I'd get my investment back at least.

I don't know if the deals are specific to location but check it out if you're in the market. I haven't played with it yet but the grinder's a standard 4 1/2" disc at 11,000 rpms and has the same heft at my buddy's makita. As far as I can tell it's a decent tool.

Haven't had any major issues with my Mastercraft tools. They've all been well made and reliable, except their torque wrenches, not very good at all.

Yeah, the casing's plastic. But I don't remember the last time I saw a new tool with an all metal construction. I think I got my $20 worth either way.
