Can't Get the Headlight Back Together

Hey guys, sorry, but another stupid question that i just cant figure out. I took my headlight off to paint/shine/etc and now after trying every combination i can think of, i just cant get it back together. It seems as if the two inner screws keep warping the bucket, and when i do think i get it back together, i get atleast a half inch of stretch around the outside bracket and the actual headlamp. I checked my manual, and its got nothin' on it. Can anyone point me to a photo, schematic, etc?

Just take your time and it will all be fine. One trick I've found is to just get both screws started and then sent them home. It may take a few times to rearrange the wires and connectors to make it fit but believe me it will work. On my XS650 I've found that Mozart is better than AC/DC and to think Zen thoughts.
