Capacitor Woes

Ive got another question regarding a 69' Cl350. I got her running and idling/reving like a dream. The problems start as soon as you womp on the throttle in gear. The power is lacking and unstable to say the least. Timing has been adjusted as per the manual. Same with the Valves. My questions is, could the symptoms I'm having be attributed toward the Capacitors lack of spark? The Carb is a 722a Keihin with squeeky clean Jets and properly set float. I've been racking my brain on the issue, and I wanted to get some consensus on the issue. Looks like a bitty 12v 5ah battery is 15bones on ebay and might be a good start. Ill try and post a video up of the lil bastard soon. Anything will help Cheers

Have you checked the advancer? The ones on my bike where pretty weak, so I cut a coil off and that seem to do the trick.
Problem I had was that idling the bike just purred, but once you passed 3K in the rpms and let got of the throttle, the advancer would stay open even if it shouldn't.
