Carb float repair???

One of the floats on one of the my cb350 carbs has a small amount of fluid in it. I was thinking of drilling a small hole on the top and on the bottom to allow it to drain, then filling the holes with solder once the inside of the float dries. Any thoughts or experiences?

Why not try. It dosent work now, so regardless you need a new one. They sell for about 20 bucks a pair on ebay I think. If you can fix it you save yourself the twenty bucks it not you had to spend the money anyways.

I've never did it but I have heard it works. Just don't put too much on to affect the weight of the float. Let us know how it turns out.

if the weight changes all you need to do is adjust the tab to compensate for it. although i think that might be harder then it sounds.

Thanks for the insight. I figure its worth a try, I have a digital scale so I will weight them before and after.

I will let you know how it turns out! ???
