Carb Tuning Question

He guys, I have a Jawa 350 Oilmaster project that I'm trying to finish up but I'm having a bit of an issue with tuning. I put a genuine VM26 on it because the Jikov ran horribly rich, with the stock jetting partial throttle feels really good but anything over half throttle is very rich. I bought a jet kit from 100-120 and even with the choke on with the 120 main and the needle all the way up it backfires at 3/4 throttle and above as the revs climb. I'm wondering what range of jets I should buy next, either 120-140 or 140-160. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
