Carbs for my 81 cb400t

Yamatech

Two wheels, one love.
Well, first off not sure if this qualifies for this section but im wanting some new carbs for my bike as mine are goners. So I'm curious if there are others off another cb or any other bike for that matter that will fit my stock boots no questions asked? I dont want to mod anything just clamp on and go, any suggestions guys? If not I will attempt to find decent stockers.

'81 and up models of the CB/CM400 and 450 all used the 30mm CV Keihin with slightly different jetting between models. The exception to this were the automatics which used 28mm carbs. They are about as close to plug and play as you are liable to get because you might even get away with not re-jetting.

Glad to be of help. My current ride is an '81 CB400T and prior to that I had an '83 CM450 which I rode for many years (it's now a really slow back burner cafe project) so I know how hard it is to find much info on this series and try to help when I can.

Yeah I havent seen too many cb 400t projects on here suprisingly, they seem relatively easy to work on and customize. The guy I got mine from made a cheap quick bobber out of mine but got a lot of the clutter off from stock form. So its been a fairly simple bike to work with and fun, mine has good power.

I have a 1980 Cb400T and I love it. working on a cafe/fighter theme. looking to get pods for my 54mm outlet carbs. I know K&N is great but don't have that in the budget right now. what else is out there in the 54mm size?

This is just to show how cheap they can be.
There's a lot of options, air filters are a fairly easy part to work with. Just think outside the box a bit and you can come up with some cool ideas or find some that fit.
