Gotta love Carpy's work, almost makes you angry how he can do it with his eyes closed. Hrmmm maybe I wont sell the 73 CL350.

Just a suggestion, but you should really develop your own style--especially the paint. It's your bike afterall.

ooh i see where you are coming from but he has alot more exp working wtih diff flakes (dimond, crushed glass, light, angle, etc) he has been a great help in me deciding on using the crushed glass in the gold and light flake in the rootbeer (will take 4 coats to get the color rootbeer (brown) I want... plus this is hte first bike i have done with knee dents... he has shot a ton of them... i want to be able to accent the dents but not make them a focal point when you look at the bike... though this type of assistance when painting i reach out of help...

I would have to say JRK5892's 350 looks nothing like a Carpy Creation but will still be a sweet scoot. I see nothing wrong with seeking the wisdom of someone that has the experience that Carpy does, pick his brain and keep the sweet rides coming.

P.S. I have wanted to do a rootbeer flake bike for a while, I just love that color it reminds me of the browns etc. that were used so heavily in the 70's but has modern appeal. Just have not had the balls to commit to it.

Isn't that the bike he finished in a week ?

I dig a lot of his work . Especially his Dunstall and CR750 replicas . I just hate when he puts " Cafe " all over the bike . Just flat out tacky . People into caferacers do not need anything on the bike saying it's a caferacer . It's kinda like taking a Porsche GT2 and putting a giant vinyl decal that says " Turbo " on it . Just ghey. ::)

Other than that que his work is just awesome .

Thank god he re did that seat that 1st one is hideous... my sofa isn't that big!!!

Funny thing is I have that first seat in my garage, I got it from him and I re-did the brackets so it would fit a 450-550 on which it looks normal however I decided not to actully use it because of the white that didn't really look right.

ahhh man! i would be all over that if you can hold on to it for a bit, hurting on $$$ right now, would love that for my next project

If JRK passes I would totally be interested in that seat. I live in McHenry too so Pick up is not problem.....let me know thanks....

man i am too broke right now and would not be able to use it till my next project... sell it to Iron...

You want flake, check these guys out:http://www.frenchkisskustoms.com/?id=paint

I don't think the American/Brit cafe guys are really doing the flake thing as it should be. Obviously, it's a bastardization of 60's psychedila with the new Japanese neo-traditionalism. The chop guys are getting back into it.
I'm ready for the flakiness 8)
