CB 360 Titanium Nitride coating; what the fudge?!

Hi guys!

Been wanting this for a while, TiNitride coating on the inner tubes of my CB 360 project... now, I've got the legs all loose.
Or so I thought...

It appears there's still a bearing in there. CMSNL calls it an oil lock, but I can't seem to get it out at all.

What do you guys say, leave it in and coat over it or....?! :?

If I remember correctly, isn't there a screw through the bottom into piece number 9 on the diagram? Can you post a picture of the issue you're having?
