hi i just got done replacing the trans in my 75 cb500t. thats all good, but i cant find the torque specs anywhere. any help would be appreciated

I would like to say I know what they are, but Honda manuals suck you have to figure out what is what, they don't list it but just a general torque spec for the size of the SHAFT of the bolt not the heads.

SO the LARGE bolts should be somewhere between 21.7 and 24.6 lbs-ft

The smaller ones should be 5.1 - 8.0 lbs-ft

thank you, i got them at 25 on the big ones and 10 for the smaller ones, i just kinda guessed and 25ftlb felt about right. do you thimk i should back them off and re torque or should it be fine where i have them? figure it should be alright since the mains are roller bearings, you know.

25 is fine the 10 might be a little much but if you didn't strip them or break them you should be good.

i dint chase the threads on the smaller bolts, only on the four bigger ones for the bearings, so that may be why they didnt break. i actually took it for a ride a little bit ago, and its filled up with rotella now. i have a few issues i need to address. like the e-start locking mech. i left the chain off since it doesnt work and thought my oil pump wasnt pumping. i thought about it after i heard the noise and it clicked as to what the real issue was. but im glad i found the 500t, it rips way better than my 450 did, im also running car coils, and the difference in trans gearing could play a role in that. thanks
