cb 750 headtube badge decal/ plate thingy

Red Devil

Paint er up!
I was wondering if anyone knows where you can get reproductions of these made for a restoration project.

There's a Swiss company that advertises on eBay.
Expensive, but, available (about $40.00?)

I swear there's a member here who was able to recreate his tin labels.

It was Mysta2 with his CB360. Did water slide decals I think.

It was Silk screen I thought and yes it was very well done. Check loudbikes thread.

Cheers

Honestly, I think you'd be just fine stamping the VIN on the frame vs. replicating a factory metal plate or decal. My Yamaha XS650 for example has the VIN stamped on the steering tube. I don't think they had industry-wide standards for these labels or the requirement to have one.

If you're doing a full on restoration then it's worth bothering with, but you're not going to get a ticket for it not being there.

There's a place in Canada that does reflective printed stickers for the XS ;D
Some states require the sticker or VIN plate in addition to the stamped frame number. (forget which ones though)
DMV/Tax people didn't even LOOK at the stamped numbers when they saw frame plates on 2 of my bikes (came from outside Florida so they check)

Thanks for all the feedback guys!! totally appreciate it! I was just enquiring for the sake of having a resto that looks factory fresh. I know I dont need it because of the headtube stamping, i just want to cross the t's and dot the i's. thanks again! ;)
