CB 750 Rearsets?

I have a CB 750 that will soon become bits and pieces strewn about my garage in transition, caterpillar-to-butterfly like, from beater to cafe racer. But before I actually get started I need some ideas on rearsets. I would like to see some pictures of CB 750's with rearsets, kinda close-up, so I can steal get some ideas.

I think traditionally the CB750 is one of the more difficult frames to add rearsets to, unless you're going to weld brackets on for them.

RAASK made/makes(?) specifically cast brackets for the frame. Unfortunately I haven't seen many pics out there with any detail.

Have you posted up at the SOHC4 forum - forums.sohc4.com - great bunch of guys there and dedicated to the Honda 4's. There's sure to be a bunch of guys with rearset details there.

I fabbed some rearsets for my CB750. http://dotheton.com/index.php?topic=1470.0 (It's way back on pg. 6...I have been waiting to complete the project completly before I update it which will be in the next month. Paint and detail is done, just waiting to get my seat back from the upolsterer.

Sweet, thanks, I was thinking of doing something like this or cutting off the passenger peg bracket and welding something on.

my cb750 has rearsets, all aluminum and they mount to the stock frame, it's a rear disc conversion though, so I ground off the pivot for the brake lever and now it's hydraulic, using a rear mc from a suzuki.

I'm not 100% sure you could use frame clamps, but its worth considering. I used them to mount some rearsets on my 550 about a month ago and they've been working awesome.

Here is a couple pics:

They make a set for the cb750 for 300$ . Not just that , they make good clipons AND a for brace for our 750s .

Im new to this board but am a moderator at Hondachopper.com. I have a set of M/C rearsets from back in the day that are NOS. They are made to fit 69-78 I believe. As a personal reference I have dealt with Carpy and he has bought some high dollar parts from me. I think maybe a druin SC and an ARD Mag if memory serves me right. I had always wanted to build a cafe but for some reason end up choppin the heck out of them instead. I was gonna post pics but cant seem to figure out how. If there is any interest email me at CRCLETRACK@AOL.COM Ray
