CB125s build. "The Dishwasher"

WOO! new seat came in! It's better than I could have imagined.

There's a "thick" part in the middle that I'm not sure about aesthetically, but it's actually the perfect place for my bum, and being a tad thicker, it's insanely comfortable. Easily worth every penny.

Took the bike out for a spin, and that new seat TRANSFORMS it. No longer do I bounce around on the firm suspension and soft seat, it's all firm and predictable now. The fake leather is way grippier, too, so I don't slide around at all.

This is definitely an astounding daily-rider seat for $200 total (cost of a pan on ebay and an expensive shop reworking.)

Looks good. I would like to do that style seat on one of my bikes. I say Bikes because look what i picked up yesterday. This makes 3 125s but i think my other one will be a parts bike for the nicer two.

It has an internal throttle!

If you're interested, I'll take an exhaust pipe, tank, and front fender :D !

Seriously. My build is kind of on hold while I wait for an exhaust to cut up.

This one im keeping whole. The parts bike has no tank, and its a 78 so the exhasut is a different size then the previous years. Whats wrong with the tank on your bike?

What about the fender or chain guard?

I don't want to mess with any original parts on the bike - keeping it collector status.

Ill see what i got. Im not big on selling parts because i always seem to get another bike and use the parts.

so a gs250 wheel is apparently harder than balls to find, as is a brake rotor and caliper for it.

This brings me back to the cb360 wheel. From what I'm reading, it should fit (2.75 to 3.0) and I can get the rest of the parts for the conversion much more easily.

SO if the 360 wheel fits, does the caliper mount to the 125 fork? will it line up right? I have not seen anybody do this conversion. We need to move to indonesia, they have so many options for small bikes there. Have you been on the Kartros Garage blog?

I'm guessing I'll have to make a bracket. But It won't be that difficult. I have a nice thick piece of cast iron I can cut and drill.

Looooong time without an update - funds kind of ran low.

But I did finally get the new gazelles put on. Still breaking them in, however.

I also got given a rusted off exhaust! the muffler casing itself rusted off, leaving the inside baffle pipe and the rest of the exhaust intact. I put it on... in an interesting way ;D just to dick around with, and I'm going to weld on baffles one at a time until I get a sound that I like.

So right now, I'm running an open pipe. I'll try to get a clip tomorrow (don't want to wake.. well, the dead!) but I'll take some pics tonight. You guys are going to laugh your asses off.

I'm wondering if I even really need to rejet. I don't feel any cutouts in power  It feels just the same. I want to run a pod too. Should I get the pod first and THEN try rejetting?

What jet suggestions do you guys have, and where can I get my hands on them?

Also, how do I find out the size of my carb inlet so I can go ahead and buy a pod?

(I'm currently hunting for a wheel, as I got my hands on some cb360 controls!)

I learnt all this off here and from experience..........
Check the internal diametre of the old header and keep to that or you will lose exhaust gas velocity and there fore power. You only need a bigger header volume if you big bore it.
You can go for a header up to a yard long.
Measure the O/D of the carb air intake then search for pitbike pods on ebay.
You may not have to jet up at all, in fact you may find yourself leaning off the needle too.... bizarre but lots of people have found this, reverse to logic!
However you silence it, give it some back pressure!
Good luck

To get the right back pressure, the total area of the holes in the baffles (or each baffle) should add up to the total area of the I/D of the header. It may look too little so resist temptation and have to do it all over again, like I did!

Man that looks nice. The temp pipe adds a WTF value to an otherwise sweet little ground pounder. Any ideas what your going to do with it? I think once its in position then a black exhast wrap would look good.

WOW, that inside diameter battle tip is awesome. Will do!

And the plan is to get rid of the rear fender once I get the 12v conversion done, clear out the battery area so it's empty, run the exhaust through there, convert the front wheel to a proper hydraulic disc, change the gauges to a set I have laying around, and ride the shit out of it.

Next on the list, however is fork seals. The more I look at it, the more intimidating this is looking. I think I need someone to walk me through this one.

Download the manual. I tried doing it without reading it and luckily i had a spare set of forks.

Got a link? I have a manual, but it's as vague as vague can be. And what special tools will I need?
