cb125s wiring question

Do I need a 6v regulator for my cb125s?

I'm currently not upgrading to 12v and I dont plan on running signals only head/tail light.

Also will a a couple 16 gauge wires ran in parallel suffice as the main ground from battery or do I need to purchase a thicker ground wire?
