So has anyone used one of these batteries?

I know it says it will work with a CB160 and I like the idea of having a no maintenance battery...

Or what would you recommend as a good battery for the CB160?

Thanks

The link took my phone to the mobile site, so I didn't look too hard at it.......

Is it a completely sealed battery? Some say they are sealed, but can only be mounted upright when charging (all the time, really). As long as the amp hours are the same, you should be ok. I don't think the 160's have any kind of regulator, so they can cook a small battery quickly (ask me how I know..........)

Hey Rich,

Thanks for the reply. I will take another look at it but I'm pretty sure the amp hours are the same. I was planning on mounting it upright anyway.

As far as the regulator goes, is it possible and is it wise to put one on a 160?

Yes and yes. My old 68 CL175 didn't have one, so I wired one from a cb350 in. The wiring is pretty similar between the two......
