CB160 upper and lower crankcase gasket?

So I'm in the process of tearing my engine down, and from what I can tell, the upper and lower crankcases don't seem to have a gasket. When reassembling, is the best thing to just use Hondabond between these two? Or does it not require anything between these two?

Side question, is it a good idea to use any kind of liquid gasket along with the felt gaskets on the rest of the engine, or just the felt gaskets by themselves?

Thank you

Thanks Sonreir,

I'll pick up some hondabond for the upper and lower crankcase assembly... Is it a good idea to use it along with the felt gaskets or are they good all by themselves?

Thanks...

No liquid gasket! Make sure both mating surfaces are perfectly clean and just just the gaskets. I oil them lightly before install, but you'll get differing opinions on that as well - I find it makes them easier to remove and reuse (and i don't mind a drop of oil here or there).

Hey Richard

Thanks for the reply... that sounds like a good idea on using just a bit of oil... I think I will do that...

thanks again
