Cb200- High Idle

Hiiiiii so I recently acquired a 1975 cb200 and I cannot figure out why it's idling so high. I took the carbs off today, bench synced them, cleaned them, adjusted them, searched high and low for air leaks and nothing. I'm getting frustrated because I can't figure it out so any and all tips or thoughts are welcome. Please help a lady out.

Is the throttle cable routed properly and not binding?

Try disconnecting the throttle cables right at the carb and then running it to see if that makes any difference. If it does its probably the cable routing.

Also, you didn't mention it so just wanted to make sure, the idle screw is set? Air screws set? Float height correct?

I checked the routing against the manual and it matches. As for the gas flow, I replaced the line and the splitter yesterday.

When I pulled it out this morning to start the frustration again, I realized one cylinder wasnt warming up so the carb/idle issue may be the least of my worries...lol
I took the plug out and tested it against the cylinder and the spark is there but when the bike is running the exhaust from that side never gets hot. Is there a chance its just a bad plug or do I have a lot more to be worried about right now?

I should also mention this is the first older/ carbureted / points system bike Ive ever really worked on so I may be in a little over my head here...oops

Go through and follow the manual for tune up procedure, cam chain, valves, timing, so you can start with a solid baseline. Make sure the points aren't toasted and the gaps are correct. Then move back to the carbs. All the jets and air passages are spotless.

If you have spark on both cylinders then that's not your issue. It sounds like a sync issue or clogged pilot.
