CB250 1974 with a CJ360T engine

Hello

I have recently bought a cb250 Frame with papers, because my journey to find papers for my cb125 turned out to be more difficult then i thought.
it came with:
- frame (no front fork)
- cj360T engine (5 speed, no electric starter type).
- Some old wheels

My plan is to slowly build it up to a cafe racer, as i don't have tons of cash laying around :p

i have started with buying a steering stem, and tapered bearings.
My question here is does anybody know what dust seals i need, i will also look around on the forum to find out.

Also i have had the chance to clean my carbs in an ultrasonic bath, but when taking everything apart i found 2 major tears in both the diaphragms, i have heard that gorilla glue works to repair it?
Or should i bite the bullet and buy the new ones?

ALSO: i have tried to loosen the swingarm bolt, with my blood sweat and tears ... literaly, i tried a spanner with a tube on it around 2meter long.
I saw the whole tube bend and the flex back on my head ... not a great start 8).
Would it just be possible to drill a small pilot hole on both ends of the bolt, and then just drill out the whole bolt?

welcome to DTT

I would wait on dust seals til you get front forks bought.

Looks like PO installed and ran it with the slides backwards.

Get new diaphragms. BTW, I wasted money on the new cheap ones. my bike wouldnt run right with them. She ran better w old crusty Honda diaphragms. Got New Honda diaphragms and she ran great instantly.
Also, your bike wont properly with the pods you got n there without crazyPJs modifications.

I cant imagine the swing arm bolt is THAT tight without CRUSHING the frame. Its probably just rusted. Soak it with penetrant for a few days then heat the nut w torch. Should bust free w wrenches.
Unless its the threads that are F'ed up.
