Sorry boy's, I have been super busy at work lately great for my pocket bad for spare time. I have this and next week off, my sister is down till Wednesday from Sydney then I hope to be able to put some spanner time in ;D
Ok so I had to make an extension for the air filter so that the throttle body on the carb didn't foul on it I threaded the shaft on the choke so that I could attach a new head Then I replaced the fuel tap as the original had leaky seals an this type of tape can't be rebuilt ???
Next Thing I got to was covering the bright yellow battery Originally I had spoken to the same guy who had covered the seat but he really stuggle with what I wanted to do So in the end the solution was stupidly simple ;D can you guess ?
When you say ride away, I assume that mean mounted and balanced and back on the bike for 220? If so, good deal. I payed 135 US for the same 2 tyres here, then had to mount and balance myself.
have you checked out the sava mc7s? 3.0's rated at 106mph 40 bucks each and if you use the code 2013 you will get 18% off...just bought 2

Here is the tire chart if you are worried about buying from a moped place

And if you want to go skinny we are running some 2.5 mc11 and they are good to 94mph

Wow thanks fir those links ;D Those are great prices and the do have tyres sizes I like, unfortunately I think shipping 2 sets to Australia from the States would level out the prices with fitment. I'll definitely hold onto those links though, there great
Ordered the tyres today they should be Here by the end of the month ;D also since now I have to builds going I needed to build an extra... Check my workshop build thread to see ;D
Soooo I've been playing with the tuning on her and was finding she started to break down higher in the revs ??? theeen I remembered that I had forgotten to put the spring back on the jet that holds the seal up, I had an Ohhhh riiiight moment :-[ I refitted said spring and adjusted the jet out 1&3/4 turns as specified in the workshop manual : anywho it's to late to fire her up now so Tomorrow it is, I'll keep you informed
Have you rejetted it mate? I've just finished the tune on mine from trial and error over a couple of months. Running a pod I've settled on a #130 main jet, jet needle up one notch and idle jet tweaked to suit. Initially had a #132 main but found it too rich at wot - it would simply cut out from the excess fuel. The idle jet will contribute up to quarter throttle so be aware it's not purely for idle. I've found slightly lean at idle helps performance. Too rich and it'll cough and splutter until the main jet and air flow kick in.
Hey thanks mate No I haven't rejetted (yet ) I have added a airflow restrictor cover to the pod and now I have the full rev range still need to tweek when the exhaust system is complete but everything looks good 8)
