CB350 "All Balls" brand rear wheel bearing issue

I'm working on another cb350 build and I decided to use All Balls brand sealed wheel bearings. The issue that I am having is that with both bearings seated completely and with the spacer in the hub in place I am still having a gap of about 1/2-1/4 inch on the sprocket side between the bearing and the spacer.I noticed the bearing I removed(I assume factory original) actually has a part that juts into the hub to make up for that gap.Have I missed something? Is this normal?

That was a spacer on the old bearing, it should come out of the old bearing....
