Nope...still no progress. Back in 6 months...

I'm with t71ford. Will this bike ever run again? I thought taking a year to build mine was insanely long. Hurry up slacker! ;D

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (the greatest pride)

Lingo at the time, that's all. I loved my house and my pledge class. Man, the Pi house rocked!

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (the greatest pride)

:) got to bust balls brother, all my friends know i am "that guy"... i worked way to hard to earn my house, everytime i hear "frat" it drives me nuts...
Sigma Nu Br936
Becoming a Sigma Nu was the best thing i have ever done in my life, with the exception of Marry'n my wife... it changed my life for the better and helped to make me the man i am today. Never pictured myself as a fraternity guy but then again my house was not your typical house

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (the greatest pride)

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (the greatest pride)

Why on earth did you take a perfect cb350 to bits, when all that follows is a gazillion-pages bla bla blog?

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (the greatest pride)

Buffy, Uni is the party of your life and the friendships you make by the end will be fundamental to the chapter that follows. Make the most of it and don't feel guilty if this project has to take 3rd place for a while.

Just remember to always wear a condom.

if your even considering wearing two, maybe you should think twice about putting it in in the first place.

If your considering wearing one, you should consider paying child support while living in your parents house when your not in school.

I've seen your thread over at caferacer.net. There's a huge difference in attitude there.

Looking to see what you cook with this beat!

I joined that website a little while ago, read through one build thread and decided that that place wasn't for me. Seems like it's populated by a bunch of A-holes.

Nope, it's a bunch of people who really DO have a clue. (at least the ones I have discussions with)
When you (not you personally, although it may apply?) go somewhere and start BS'ing about thing you know nothing about, then go on about 'lifestyle, hipsters and 'scene' ::) what do you expect from people who have been RACING vintage bikes for years?
You either ask very basic questions where you don't understand the answer or make dumb statements about how cool some crap is.
No one there has a problem with 'newbies' as long as they don't try and act as if they know everything about Cafe Racers or 'vintage' bikes in general.
It's the reason Rocan left Cafe Racer, giving bad advice and getting criticised for it (in fact I followed him here after he told me to 'Fuck Off')
It's all cool now, he's learned a LOT about a lot of things, as have a lot of people here who now give answers to things they thought were 'cool' and now know to be 'dumb' if not dangerous
Whatever ::)

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (the greatest pride)

In my case, I replied in a post about knee dents, that I liked them. That was it. I got called names for it. I gave back as good as I got and was bum rushed by a whole bunch of assholes. They told me to go here and hang out with all the other dipshits. Been here ever since.

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (the greatest pride)

Form follows function, Function follows form.
if it does nothing but 'look pretty' it may be art or it could just be a worthless piece of cack
Not everyone likes art, no-one likes cack ;)

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (the greatest pride)

I've never had a problem over there but I see what everyone's talking about. I don't spend much time over there though. Funny I say "over there" when its all just key strokes.

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (the greatest pride)

PJ's right. period.

anyway, I'm still over here at college, no time to go home and work on the bike. hopefully after winter recess ill be riding. especially with this great weather, ive been dying to get out and ride.

but mostly, I do a lot of this:

"A grinding wheel 0.500 m in diameter rotates at a rate of 8.00×10
2
revolutions per minute. Find the magnitude of the acceleration of a
speck of metal caught in the outer edge of the wheel."

guess all that buffing is starting to pay off.

But when im not doing calculus, physics, or chemistry, i sometimes get to work on this...

and occasionally, I get to work on this.

so no, BLAKE, havent gotten to ride my bike yet.

but I did get to ride a hot blonde in a skimpy zebra outfit.
