CB350 Built by a teen (Weld Now, Grind Later)

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (the greatest pride)

How about an interactive play for the visually impaired with scratch'n'sniff programme notes?

David, let me say this : I'm glad to hear you haven't fallen to any of the actual "evils" around college. I know a few people that literally had their lives ruined from college. Your bike, and DTT, will still be around when you get to it.

+1
Try everything once, with the exclusion of putting rubbish up your nose.

That rubbish helped me stay up long enough to read this thread ;D

You actually read the whole thread?
Do you have any bone left in your nose? ;)

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (the greatest pride)

That sweet itch of powdered fiberglass...

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (the greatest pride)

.....even a picture with you standing in the same room would be more than the pointless drivel that fills this thread. Zebra girl? ....would look at you and laugh, she's so far out of your league that implying otherwise fairly well illustrates that you haven't infact managed to touch a boob that isn't your moms.

Whatever makes you sleep at night, swagger. Out of my league? Well, I don't really place myself in any "league" and simply pursue what I am attracted to, using my own free will.

I will applaud your effort to make me look stupid though. Your post revokes my credibility one way or another. If I were in fact lying and didn't get with zebra girl, then I'm a liar. But if I am telling the truth, then according to you, me trying to defend myself makes it certain that shes out of my league and that I haven't touched a boob that isn't my mothers.

Touché.

Also your a couple pages back on the thread... if you had noticed my last comment, I have long since lost interest in zebra girl (that projects completed and set aside) and have taken interest in my bike once more. Soon as I can track down some fiberglass (by this weekend, got stuck with picking up my sisters boyfriend from the airport and a dentist appointment tomorrow) I can start glassing in the modifications to my tank.

more work is in the plans for this break. its all going to happen very quickly now.

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (the greatest pride)

No effort, or machinations whatsoever. The point is you blast your own credibility right out of the water all by your lonesome. Seriously, leave off the 'I banged her too' bullshit that nobody believes anyway and build your bike, we're all pulling for you. Showcase what you CAN do really well......

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (the greatest pride)

the one before this one, and page 117. after that it talks about my vacation, then me going to college. I'll take some pics tomorrow night to keep you guys happy.

Also I promise to make a condensed version when i finish the bike... so itll be about 2 pages long of the most amazing bike work, ever. (ok, besides for it not being that, but forget it, its gonna be an awesome 2 pages).

anyway....

Can anyone make me some spacers so I can fit my cb360 wheel into my cb450 forks/tripple trees using a cb450 axle?

Nevermind, got some off a cb250.

No access to a lathe :'( otherwise I'd make em myself. I'll have to write up some dimensions tomorrow night also.

there, is that bike related enough?

If I had a spacer sitting around that was too long I could cut it down and make it work. but I dont; I only have shorter ones.

fuck it, I figure if I can find some round stock around the right size I could then find and buy a bit that large and cut the stock then drill it out...

just is a lot of digging around for something that would take all of about 30 minutes to make up in a lathe.

and seriously brad? when I do something I do it right. I don't want to have my wheel moving about because I chose not to ask for help and end up killing myself.

Theres a right way (make a damn spacer on a lathe) and a wrong way that can work if you put in a lot more time. It's not like I'm asking if I could use a cb360 wheel with those forks and how I could do it all... I did all the leg work and research, I'm just asking for someone who has machinery I don't have available to me to make me a part. Shit, I'd rather give the money to a fellow member on the site then to the local machinist (though he is a nice guy, hes very busy and can't be bothered for such mundane tasks).

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (Those parts you forget about)

Oh yeah, not to mention It'll cost me 30 bucks for a 15mm bit and another 10 bucks for a foot of 1"round stock.
It's not that I can't do it, It's simply that theres an easier, safer, cheaper way.

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (Those parts you forget about)

ok, I had other stuff posted but I'm not going to argue.

I decided to order spacers off a CB250 nighthawk rear axle. 15mm ID also, and the longer spacer is an inch and a half. the shorter one is an inch, so it should be plenty for what I need. 5 bucks for both with the axle included, plus 10 bucks shipping.

still not Ideal, but a hell of a lot better then a hack job.

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (Those parts you forget about)

I'll make your spacers if you'll just build the damned bike.
I'll make'm for free.
Shipped.

Ya wanna know why this has gotten so pearshaped? You started off strong and turned into just another kid telling stories. You had the basis for real tangible respect and you blew it with all the bullshit and stories of 'conquest' and bragging about women you haven't had who wouldn't' give you the time of day. Give it a rest David, seriously. Just stick with the truth, don't bullshit a 'room full' of adults who know crap when it's flung about.

I give this advice from the heart David, nobody want's to see you succeed more than I do.......and I washed my hands of this trainwreck once already, though I have peeked in a few times. It's tough NOT to....

Last bit of advice, clean up this travesty of a thread and get on with it. You get heat now because this has sunk to equal parts: 'Gilmore Girls' / 'OCC' / Celebrity Rehab' with a smattering of relatable bike stuff. Not a good show.....

Pm me here if you want those spacers

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (Those parts you forget about)

This is thread is fucking clown shoes. I dont know why i even bothered to open it, i was kinda amazed it was still around. Its like the bad guy in a movie that needs to be killed four time to stay dead
