Been Around the Block
I received a pile of dirty and look like crap part of a CB350. The guy who has these parts is unable to rebuild the bike any more. Get them at cheap price.
Month 1:
This is what he sent me
It seems I have 2 crank cases, 2 crank shaft and 2 gear boxes.
These are engine part after clean up (I left them in kerosene for 5 days then clean all the oil and rust off)
After inspection, the gearbox is in good condition, crank shaft needs rebuilt and all bearings and seals need replaced
Since the engine is incomplete, I bought a good used engine head from ebay. Need to re-chrome the camshaft at bearing position.
And the frame after using the paint cleaner to clean off all paint on the frame. I found lot of holes on this frame due to long time attacked by rust.
And the engine covers after sand blasted:
And my rearset which is designed by myself (on CAD) then produced at a military factory in Saigon. It is adjustable, big bolt and sleeve. Made of 6mm steel and the angle has 20 positions to change.
My job for this weekend is sandblast this frame and protect it with clear paint so we can see the steel color of the frame.
22 Dec 2010
Could not wait until weekend, the frame is blasted with sand paper and then be polished before covered with clear paint:
And this is the crankshaft after being rebuilt by a crank professional shop.
