CB350 Electrical

I am beginning to fantasize about what to do when I get my 71 CB350 out of storage. It is my first bike, which I "rebuilt" a year ago, at the age of 17. (When I say rebuilt, I mean I spent as little money as possible, just cleaning the gunk and replacing piston rings and gaskets). I would like to eventually rebuild it with new pistons, but I think the electronics need some attention.
My question is what are the options for electrical upgrades? (Along with prices)
What upgrades rely on one another, and which can I add a little at a time? I already have a new battery and have installed dynatek 3ohm coils with the stock ignition.

What are top priority electrical upgrades?
Why does my battery die while sitting? :(
Has anyone here rewired the whole harness? Any idea on the price to DIY?

Thanks. I'll be searching for my Volt/Ohm meter.

A new regulator/rectifier is money well spent. I'd lose the coils, though and go back to 5 Ohm. The charging system on the 350 is a bit anemic and the 3 Ohm coils pull too much power for a street bike.

What kind of battery are you currently running? Flooded cell?

And yeah... I've wired a harness or two. ;)

You know, I think I did get the 5ohm coils. I couldnt remember exactly. I have no idea what kind of battery I got. It was a batterys+ brand that they filled with acid in the store. As for the stator, any tips for buying? And for the ignition, are there any note worthy that are a good value and include electric advance? I have heard PAMCO made a good and cheap one, but I don't know if they sell it anymore.

Any tips for a low-drawing headlight? Id need a new bucket too...

I wouldn't worry about the stator unless you know you have a problem with the stock one. For ignition, I hear mixed results on the Pamco. Cheap, but you get what you pay for.

If/when I get one, it will definitely have an electronic advance. Half the issue with the old ignition systems are due to the advancers.
