cb350 fork options

Got the bike tore down to the frame and am perturbed how hideous the front forks are without those covers on. I am tossing around the idea of swapping front ends with another bike. Does anybody have any experience with this. What bikes have forks with inner springs that same diameter to fit triple tree? I am real excited to put that back together i have no idea how i will get those ball bearings back in place. lol. I was also thinking about just buying some dust cover gators and removing the metal cover that are on springs now. Has anyone used those dime city gators will those cover the entire spring up to the bottom steering thingamagiggy.
