cb350 frame detabbing?

Been Around the Block
So I was detabbing my frame today, and started to get a little nervous the more I thought about how thin this metal is! Did I got too far? should I have left some more structure up by the backbone? I left all the support and metal around the shock mount. You can kind of see where I was going to spot some square tube in and then my plan was to weld about 8" of 1/8" steel on as well to ad some rigidity. What do you guys think?

weld all of your seams on the backbone, main down tube from the back bone, and check all of the welds where it transitions from stamped to tube. After that box in runners where you've got your square tube as planed and call it good. I wouldn't worry to much about putting the square tube in there unless you are going to put in a cross brace for a mono-shock or something. that's just my .02 worth, I'm sure some of the others on here that have more experience will chime in if I'm wrong or if there is more to do.

Yep, usually you just convert the 'U' section to box section.
You will need to put some cross bracing back in there, make sure it is welded where the wheel won't hit it and is shaped for clearance on full bump
