Cb350 front sprocket size 15 or 16

Less is more
I'm trying to find out the effects of a 15 tooth front drive gear on a CB350 over the stock 16 tooth size. Would a 15 tooth gear increase or decrease acceleration while increasing or decreasing top speed? Also, would one tooth size make a significant difference?

Thanks in advance.

I put a 17 on mine with stock size in the back to lower the rpms on the freeway. One tooth difference in the front doesn't make much difference really.

So larger on the front slows acceleration but increases top speed? I just want to be sure ow which way to go up front.

I wouldn't say it would make a significant difference but it would improve acceleration but decrease top speed, I geared mine up so it wouldn't run such high RPMs at highway speeds, my CL350 had a 38 tooth on the rear, and I had a cb360 34 tooth laying around that I put on back. So far its been an improvement on running 60mph

For those of you that geared up in the front, how did it affect the acceleration? I'm in the process of installing a 17t on my CB360 from the stock 16, and I definitely want some more top end to hang on the freeways, but wondering how it would affect acceleration (drastically?)

It probably would barely effect your acceleration, your rpms at 60mph will probably just drop 500rpms, I went down 4 teeth on my rear sprocket on 350's rear and barely noticed any acceleration difference

Acceleration difference shouldnt be tha big of a difference but you will fill it. Changing the front sprocket by 1 tooth is like changing the rear by approx 3 teeth (2.75 to be exact)
