CB350 kickstand/rearset interference

Coast to Coast
I'm having clearance issues with the kickstand and my rearsets. Using the center stand isn't an option due to my 2-1 exhaust. Right now I don't really want to relocate the kickstand, though I probably will this winter when I tear the bike down. In the meantime, could I weld a small bolt on the kickstand right by where the arm bolts on so it won't be able to fold up all the way? It seems that it would still be well out of the way as far as catching it on something while riding. That said, is that a bad idea? Thanks.

If its just the foot that hits, trim it. It's bigger than it needs to be anyhow. (Hard to tell the actual issue from my phone...)

I drilled a small, 1/8" hole in the stand mount. I then installed a 1/8" tension pin to stop the kickstand from retracting all the way up.

Does that make any sense, or should I snap a photo?
It just works as a stop. Your way should work too, just another option.

its is a cafe RACER right?
stock side stand location will drag in turns and you are making it worse
what is the use of having rearsets which are primarilly for more cornering clearance if you cant use it ?
good solution is cut off the part that matters and weld it to a half pipe section that fits the frame tube and weld it to the frame further forward so it all tucks in better as well

A pic would be great. Not quite sure I understand from the description.

The kickstand doesn't hit the rearsets it just gets in the way of my foot a bit. I was hoping to just have it pushed down a bit about where it is in the second pic.

I get what you're saying but the bike would have to be almost on it's side off the wheels for the kickstand to come in contact with the ground. I honestly think the rearsets would hit the ground before the kickstand. It's just in the way of my foot a bit and I end up tapping it when I downshift which worries me about accidentally putting it down while riding, though I'd imagine it would be hard to accidentally do.
