Cb350 random part found after first engine start

Hi all,
I just scored a relatively clean cb350G, after running her for the first time in 3 years. I was then fixing a mild exhaust leak when I spotted the attached image near the front wheel.

Last image is for scale, that's a standard 375 ml can.
Anyone have any info on the part and where it came from?
I was thinking carb, but had a look through some diagrams without luck.

Could it be off the gauges? Like maybe from under the trip reset boot, or some other tiny adjuster?

That little peg looks like one of the 'locating pins' that goes into either one of your handlebar switches;it keeps the switches from turning on the handlebars once you've tightened the switches down.The pin goes on the bottom of the switch and locks into a corresponding hole in your stock handlebars.

Do you have any pics of the bike ?

I think grcamna5 got it. I've seen that pin in the switch assemblies too.
