CB350 Rearsets are Here!!!! Finally!!

360. Any news on the wires. I don't want to bother any one but my bike is like please, please and come-on and please just ask em. my bike is a child. :D

I dont know of any issues with exhaust clearance. there seems to be lots of room.

Ducati Boy, I am making a new batch of mounts in the next 10 days. i will send you an invoice when im closer to completion if thats OK with you.

Same to you Beast, and yes thats still correct.

Coxstrong, I made some prototype mounts yesterday. My initial design is good, i just need to move the main mounting hole to accomodate both sides. Ill start a new post this week when im closer to completion. working on brake pivot geometry now.

Thanks for all the comments and concerns. Peace!

Great news Durgam! No great hurry for me as my bike is still dismantled down to the crankshaft but I am currently in the phase of slow accumulation of parts that I know I will need for my build. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you

Are there any clearance issues with the stock exhaust on a cb350k4? It's getting replaced eventually, but wanted to be sure I could get away with them for a while.

I have these installed on my 72 350 with stock exhaust and the linkage clears fine. you just need to flip the brake arm 180 degrees and grind down the top part of the spindle(?) where there are no teeth so it will still fit. take your brake arm off and you will see what I'm talking about. make sure durgam machines the foot levers with the linkage points facing up.

my stock kick starter does not clear by about a 1/2" though, so you will have to heat and bend it, or trim down the toe peg.

I am making some changes to the mounts to help kickstarter clearance. I will try and make a new batch as soon as possible. I am incorporating the spacers into the mount itself. They will be machined as bosses that will be thinner than the spacers. But without losing strength in the mount. Ill keep you all updated.

hey I bought some a while ago, didn't have anytime to do any monkeying with them too much but I've just noticed one of my levers don't fit the footpeg too well, seems the hole in the lever arm is too small and I've tried both footpegs on it, the other one goes through super smooth (picture attached). Any suggestions to what I should do? I was thinking of sticking a rotary tool in it and widening it a bit but not sure how well that will go.

Send Durgham a PM or email and I'm sure he'll sort stuff out for you. I'd strongly advise against trying to fix it yourself. Do you have a caliper to measure the hole and the footpeg with? Might help to know which of the 4 parts seems to be the odd one out.

Sure can. Im hoping to get a batch of the redesigned mounts in next week. My shop guy has a few things in front of them at the moment.

It's been awhile since I ordered mine. I have a CL350, but it had CB360 pipes on it and the rearset arms wouldn't clear the pipes when pressed down. I just picked up a used Jardine 2-1 exhaust that goes under the frame mostly so now the rearsets will fit. BUT NOW I see that the kickstand is part of the old foot pegs so once again I couldn't finish the install.

From what a previous post said, my CL shifter arm should work with these so that is good news and I've also read somewhere else that some have just cut the kickstand off where they are able to just have it bolted to the bike without the bar that crosses and has the foot pegs on it.

I haven't seen anyone else posting about removing their foot pegs and what they are doing to retain a kickstand. Is everyone just running a center stand???? I don't have an option to use a center stand as it won't work with my 2-1 exhaust.

1. What is everyone doing about the kickstand? Maybe I missed some posts in there.

2. Does the brake effect work the same no matter which way the arm is turned? (mounting the brake arm up or down)

FYI- I'll post a pic later, but I was able to make a bolt/sleeve combo that went into the brake foot lever hole (biggest one nearest the peg) so that it would contact the mount and keep the lever down some and closer to right before the brake would grab. I had to do this because as others had said, there was too much travel in the brake lever before it would grab. It's an ugly deal now, but a trip to lowes and the bolt section should pan out something much nicer looking.

Let me try and get a pic up here NOW.... that's the spirit right!?

linkage to rear brake. Maybe it'll work better if I flip the arm up? Seems good the way I have it now, but haven't ridden it yet.

Pieces in kit have worked fine. Only problem I've ran into so far is that one of the pegs doesn't swivel easily and when I took the bolt out to separate the peg to the other piece it has marred itself up some in there where it's contacting, which is making it swivel even less smoothly. I'll try some sanding on it, but I don't know that that will solve the problem.

Also, maybe the larger mount bolt could be a bit longer if you are to use a washer and lock washer together. Using both I'm not sure that the bolt was getting all the way to the nylon in the nut. Will have to have another look at it. It was getting late and I was fading.

Here's mine- I flipped the actuator arm (had to grind out a flat spot to slide over the spindle) and added a couple spacers at the front lever arm. Works beautifully. Also had to shim the brake pads themselves as they would not catch the drum- I used a beer can and cut several strips into shims to place between the rotating actuator and the end of each shoe where it meets the actuator in the wheel hub- perfect. This bike only has 2300 miles, but I am sure new shoe would eliminate the need for shims?

Kris rocks- I have four sets of his rearsets, none better. For anyone waiting- it is worth it.

Any thoughts on mounting these on a 360? Extremely unhappy with the loaded gun universals from DCC.

Diesel, thanks for the interest, and ill get you on the list. Captain, that it the first time I have heard of a kickstand issue. And as far as a marring concern. Is it in the peg hinge, or the lever pivot? Sounds like by your description its the peg hinge. If that is binding, I don't know of sanding would help any. It difficult to get in the shoulder bolt hole. Let me know what you find out, and ill take a close look at wats on my bike. Thanks and my apologies.
