CB350 swing arm bolt

I am toying with the idea of removing the stock passenger foot peg mounts. However, the bracket also provides support for the rear swing arm. I'm worried that the center frame section won't be strong enough to support the torque from the swing arm w/o the added strength of the brackets. Any suggestions would be helpful.

wow.. I just had a huge "Oops" moment... Wish I read this thread before the frame was powder coated.. 2 steps forward, one huge step backwards..

looks like my build is now on indefinite hold.

why? did you butcher your swingarm? just get a replacement and have it powdered, i'm sure someone on here has a spare swingarm...

the swingarm is not the issue.. the swing arm bolts to the passenger peg mouns and to the stamped center of the frame. I hacked off the passenger peg mounts. I really dont have money to have the frame repowdered. Ill probably finish up the project ftmp but just wait til I have some extra money so I can ruin the powder by welding on some tabs.

duh - slipped my mind that pretty much only my bike is retarded enough to have passenger footpegs on the swingarm
tough break :(
