Do any of you guys know if it's possible to fit a CB350 Twin engine in a CB500 Twin frame?

I just bought a frame that i thougt was a 350, but now the seller tells me it's a CB500T. ???

Any info?

If youre capable of making engine mounts, than you can theoreticaly use any motor that fits into the frame. For future reference, the model of the bike is on the neck on old Hondas. Good luck with this one. Let us know what happens.

Thanks VonYinzer, that was what i thinking myself.
I don't have much experience with bikes or fabrication, so I think I'll go for another frame that I have on hand, a bit more expensive but i think that's
the solution for me right now.

Its not difficult to mate an engine to a different frame really. You need to do some fab work, and be VERY sure everything lines up though. Im not positive, but I would imagine that the 500 motor is wider as well as the rear hub, so you would need to modify the drive sprocket of the 350 to compensate, or run a 350 wheel and have different spacers machined. Dont quote me on that though.

You may also run into problems when you try and register the bike. I don't know where you live, but most countries nowadays require some sort of engineering inspection / certificate for non-standard engine transplants / frame modifications.

True, though around here nobody would ever even look at the motor. As long as the title matches the head stamping.
