As you can see my rearsets aren't even coming close to clearing my new Mac 4-1. What are my options ?

You're clearly fucked!

But on a more helpful note, you could try using a bracket to either raise your controls a little or lower the exhaust a little -- exhausts in my experience tend to have a little wiggle room. The trick is to not mess up the seal at the head or the joint where they head pipes meet the muffler section.

i think the positioning is unrealistic in the first place... rearsets almost never wind up working when mounted to the passenger pegs, they're just too far back to provide any rider support. it looks like you went ahead and powdercoated your frame before testing the bike out though, so it looks like you're essentially boned... only other option is to build a rearset mounting plate that bolts to the frame

Another recommendation -- you can try 400F pegs and controls. They set the pegs back about 6 inches from 350F pegs.

But I'll disagree with RCC -- I've used rear peg mounts for rear sets on a 350F and on other bikes (e.g. CB160) without a problem. It depends on where you sit, shape of the seat, etc.

I'd try to straighten the bend on the exhaust some; either by heating the bend with a torch and taking some of the bend out, or by cutting a wedge out of the larger diameter side of the bend and welding the seam back together.

actually I did ride it and the positioning is perfect, I was running a different exhaust at the time

Any ideas for potentially offsetting the rearsets or do you guys think that would screw with the riding position too much

I make the adjustments to the exhaust, not the rear sets. If you rode them and they worked and felt right, then don't change them. Exhausts can go in many configurations and work well. Rear brake pedal- not so much.

Passenger peg tab should allow you to drill a hole 1.5" or so above the hole you're using, but that's gonna bend your legs even more. Other option is moving them forward an inch or two, which would be tougher.

I agree completely. The exhaust routing is cosmetic. Mount it lower and straiten up that pipe a bit. You could also cut the bend out and let the exhaust go strait back.

Where would you recommend mounting them?

They are perfectly suitable as placed in the above picture. Thousands upon thousands use them with out issue.

Now, if you are a wee little man, or exceptionally tall, they may need to be placed elsewhere. For normal people, they work, and work well.

I mounted mine (cb360) in the same spot, I think the positioning is perfect, regardless of what Roc says. It feels perfect, I'm not running any exhaust and I see it would be an issue if i did run off the headers, but I used to build custom exhausts so I'll likely do a 2-1 off the right and route it low and out to give me clearance, I've considered doing a cross system so it passes under the frame to the drivers side, to give me length and back pressure without having to run so far out the back.
