Where to start... I moved to Maryland a few months ago, before moving I had built a few bikes, last one was a 82 Cb900f, and realized it was a bit big/heavy for me. So a few weeks ago the wife picked me up what I originally wanted and it is a 71 cb350 twin with roughly 2500 original miles. I almost feel bad about hacking it up, but it does provide an excellent base. Lastly, not only am I into bikes but I also build old British car, mainly focusing on Classic Mini Coopers. Currently I have 4 at the house, 2 are customers cars, and also a 61 Morris Minor. I design custom products for them, and currently fabricate subframes to do more modern engine swaps in them. I have done already a 2000 Acura Integra GSR swap, working on a Suzuki 3 cylinder turbo swap right now, and the Morris Minor has a V6 camaro engine in it.
Anyway, if your local and want to hang I am off on Fridays and that's when I usually do my wrenching. Plans for this bike are just to clean it up, IE I started fabricating a hooded lucas tail lamp under the seat poking out, installed drag bars, reverse megaphones, got new tires on the way and a seat I designed (somewhat of a "brat" / bentley style seat with the stock pan), and some other bits and bobs. Anyway, onto the pics:
Picking it up and stuffing it in the van
Notice the straight pipes the previous owner installed
In the background you can see the Mini with Suzuki swap
Cleaned it up a little and installed the new muffs to make neighbors and myself a little more happy
Started stripping her down, petcock now leaks, nice...
Here's where it was sitting Friday morning, now I have new levers, switches, cables, etc installed. Waiting on tail lamp to arrive back from powdercoating.
