+1 I think that the black wheels reinforce the nostalgia, like to the tenth power. I also think that teal color is teh sex. It's nice to see "not-flat-black".

All black can be done well, and I might even do the same on my next bike, but I just thought this one needed some color. It's just a bit lighter than the face gauges.
Decent prices and fast shipping. I just sent them an e-mail with what length I wanted, the year/make/model of the bike, my height/weight, and whether I wanted a firm or soft ride. They put the black replacement springs(don't recall which weight) on the sts 300mm eye-to-clevis.
That kicks ass. Have you gotten a rider on yet to see if there is enough room? How bout some close-ups of the seat? What si the base material, etc? Why does it stand proud?
Maybe so, but I can't exactly give myself the title.

Chris, we are all looking forward to your RD400 brat.
You mean a second rider or just me? I fit fine, but I'm a skinny @ss. 5'11'' and 140 soaking wet with a boney @ss and chicken legs to boot.
I took some pics of the seat as I was making/installing it so I'll probably create a thread in the seat section tonight. It mainly sits so 'proud' b/c I used the stock latch and it doesn't quite want to engage completely. I haven't addressed the issue, but it should lower it about half an inch whenever I get around to it.
Now I just have to get the blasted thing running. I didn't have any issues getting it started when it was in my apt, but as soon as I took it outside I've had problems. I don't know if I just need to rejet or what. Here's the link to my problem:

Chris, didnt you run stock jets on the 360 w/pods and pipes you gave to your bro? I remember you had some Mikunis that you had issues with, but then you put the stock carb back on and worked just fine.
Soooo I let the bike sit overnight. Turn the idle screws to the richest setting (all the way in), two kicks and it runs. Let it idle at 1800 for about a min/two w/no problems. It starts to surge to near 3-4k and dips to about 1500 intermittently. I take the choke off a little and it dies, then I can't get it started again after 10 kicks. I pull the plugs and the right one has a little black fluff on it and the left has none except a bit on the electrode.
I'm open to any and all suggestions.
Think I just have to clean the carbs really well and sync 'em?
Now that I think about it, that happened to the 360 I built as well. I went through the manual and performed the timing procedure exactly as described. That fixed it for me. Might be worth a look.
Yep, those are Roadriders but I wouldn't know how they are because I can't get my damn bike running.
Help me out guys. I've done/have all the things on this list:
These are with battery fully charged, btw. You've seen my pod/pipe setup.
+ Fully functioning bright spark when kicking.
+ Carbs completely torn down and cleaned.
+ Slides fully functional and floats set to recommended height.
+ 6 months old, clean functional points have proper gaps and timing set to manual specs.
+ New fuel is getting to both bowls/floats.
+ All wires have been checked, rechecked and secured tightly.
+ Oil is at proper level.
No starting at all now. 20-30 kicks and nothing but an occasional sputter. I'm debating putting the electric starter back on just to give my leg a rest.
The bike ran perfectly when I bought it back in February. I took it apart, but didn't touch the motor. Just drained the oil, removed it and set it aside. Put it back together and now it doesn't work.
