Just wondering if any one has come across this problem.
I'm having a hard time removing the cam cover, on my cb360.
The gasket maker is really holding on. Does any one have any tips
or tricks that might work. :(
Thanks
Peter

I would try putting a few bolts back in finger tight and then hit it with a rubber mallet to try and break it free.

Did you get the 2 bolts in the center galley?

Rubber mallet or a wood block and a hammer works. I love it when someone uses too much sealant to hold stuff down, just needs to be a thin film.

I'll bet the breather cover is still on, hiding the bolts ;)

+1 on breather cover.

Its a prime candidate for the homer award but its easy to forget.
The one thing I always remember is that -no prying or pounding should be necessary. Obviously that becomes a bit more fuzzy when dealing with old bikes, but it makes me stop and think again.

Thanks for the tips, breather is off and bolt are out. lol...happened the first time around, I think I added a little to much sealant.
I'll try the rubber mallet!

Should be able to turn motor over and use valve springs/rockers to push it off.
Unless you used a setting sealer or epoxy, it shouldn't be stuck that tight
