CB360 carb modifications for K&N filters

Split personality, I fake being smart
Hi All,
As some of you know, I've been modifying CB360 carbs to work with K&N filters
Basic modification is $40.00 plus shipping ($15~$20.00)
Many carbs need a lot more than basic mods and can take a substantial amount of time to get working right
Recently I've done couple of sets that needed more than usual work as they had parts missing and/or damage.
I guess most people don't know what they have or how bad things can get so can't be blamed.
It isn't a cleaning service, I just make them work mid range so cleaning will be extra.
Any parts needed, if I don't have them, I e-mail you and tell you what to get and have shipped to my address for fitting/testing/set up (this isn't a business, more a service to 360 owners)
OK, after saying all that,
minimum charge is going to be $40.00, maximum charge could be $120.00 (or more in rare cases) plus shipping ($16.00 as of March2014)
Parts, your responsibility (diaphragms can be had for $19.50 each, plus shipping
K&L carb kits fit and work, some others are 'not as advertised'
I haven't used Keyster so don't know what they are like
It's half what you pay for stock re-build and a lot less than 'shop' rates

PUT SCREEN NAME IN OR ON BOX, add contact e-mail if you remember ;)

PJ just did my carbs and really did an excellent job. I was one of the ones that had missing/bent parts that I didn't know about. This was a really good service at a really fair price.

Jet size varies depending on exhaust.
Anywhere from 105 to 125.
Jets alone don't fix mid-range rich problem

start with 110 secondary mains, leave the others stock.
Air box has virtually no restriction at low rpm so stock jetting is fine

Hi Folks,
Took my 360 out a couple of weeks ago and had a slight issue with lean running top end.
Didn't give it a lot of thought (although it was probably simmering somewhere in subconcious? ;) )
Came up with a theory this morning - E10 fuel
I set bike up a few years ago when E10 wasn't as common.
I had a modified set of carbs on it during week and it was a dramatic improvement.
I thought it may be just the carbs were cleaner than my own carbs, but, when I checked jets, either someone had drilled them out slightly or they had been cleaned with jet reamers and were oversize?
Anyway, pilot was about 40 instead of 35, primary main 70 instead of 68, secondary was 115 instead of 110.
Jetting is slightly rich but if you have E-15 it should be real close to right
I wouldn't recommend E-85, it was really designed for fuel injected motors with a bunch of electronic sensors

+1 Best carb guy in the US guaranteed!!! I have a 74 cb360 PJ jetted the carbs and we added after market exhaust but other than that the little bugger is mostly stock. The bike will do 107mph, and it goes like a bat out of hell!!!

Best mod ever done!

Use him!

PJ did my carbs and they were top notch and the tuning was dead-on for my PODS and pipe setup.

Thanks for all the good reviews.
Something I havent come across before, the top surface distorted (during manufacture or casting?)
Causes an air leak which makes tuning real difficult
First pic, after flatting out slightly to show the 'hollow'

around 3.00 o'clock position there is a pretty good 'dip' in casting
After flatting out, 99% of dip has gone

Also have some pics of shut off valves where Viton tip is starting to peel off, never seen one like this before

Top one is new, second one has tip coming off and damper stuck, third is just corroded and damper damaged
Two and three also have the retainer missing

How do pods "work" on any set of cv carbs, just curious .My research and experience is that without some kind of shroud it just is a fashion show. Sincerely I am curious. I have a 360 and itd be great to steer ckear of the mikuni swap to save some dough.

Without some sort of mod, they are terrible. PJ's jetting and mojo is a requirement to make it work with K&N RU or RC 1820's. I'm confident mine is hauling better than stock. It's not even close.

Much as it pains me to say anything nice about a 360, I was following Deviant around last weekend and I'll vouch for that, the little bike can move.

Just wait until the carbs are synced and he gets heavy duty clutch springs ;)

Everyone with a modified 360 needs that, surprising how quick they are, steering seems too light at speed?
Although I don't use one, a steering damper may be a good idea ;)

How do I get PJ to do this for me do i pm him? Been reading a lot the last couple days. Seems like the only option for fitting pods on a 360. If PJ isn't doing this anymore. Does anyone know what the mod is so I can do it myself?
