CB360 running 2.5" rim

I've searched as much as I could and can't find an answer to this one, which may in itself be my answer, but curious on the following setup being feasible:

I'm on a CB360 and will be running dual sport tires. I'm aiming to run black non-shouldered rims. I emailed MikesXS and they sell non-shouldered 18" black rims in 2.5" width ONLY. This is wide. Ideally I'd run WM3's front and rear but again, MixesXS doesn't sell the non-shouldered rim in this size.

My question: Can I run a 2.5" front and rear without modification to the front fork or rear setup with 110/80-18 Front and 120/90-18 Rear as tires. I know this tire combo has been used on a CL as it's shown here http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-43-FDAQ0q2Y/VDMb47cRZEI/AAAAAAAA5N8/AHVtScqIMo8/s1600/IMG_008.JPG and here http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ji0BaO0ztfY/VDMce5LBlgI/AAAAAAAA5OE/S-58JfSeGOw/s1600/IMG_009.JPG.

Will this be a mistake? Anyone pulled it off?

Most things are possible, but a 2.5 front is really wide but Bridgestone recommend it for a 110 BT45 but that will make for a pretty heavy steering I would think.

Check with the tire manufacturer what rims they recommend for different tires.
